And He Shall Be Like a Tree Planted by Streams of Water
The artwork was inspired by the image described in Psalm 1 - “He shall be like a tree planted by streams of water.” — 200 × 80 cm (X2)
This two-piece artwork was created in collaboration with artist Ron Deri.
For us, the tree symbolizes a person: its roots represent where they come from the memories, people, and experiences that have shaped them. The branches growing upward symbolize the journey of continuing to grow, change, and evolve without losing connection to those roots.
In the background, we incorporated the text of Psalm 1, which describes a person as a tree planted beside a source of water - a tree that continues to grow and bear fruit. The words become part of the artwork itself, creating a connection between faith, roots, and growth.
For us, the artwork is a reminder that no matter how far we grow, there will always be something deep beneath the surface that keeps us grounded.
