Venus
In this painting, I wanted to create a connection between the planet Venus and Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty. They share not only the same name, but also the same symbolism: beauty, femininity, love, and attraction.
Through the figure of Venus and the warm, fiery colors surrounding her, I wanted to express the magnetic and timeless power of love. Just as the planet Venus shines brightly in the sky and stands out for its beauty, the goddess Venus represents the beauty and love that naturally draw us toward them.
Beyond the connection between the planet and the goddess, the painting also explores the illusion of perfection. We live in a world where it is easy to look at others and believe that their lives are more beautiful, organized, and perfect than our own. We try to present the best version of ourselves, yet behind every face, even the most beautiful - there are fears, insecurities, imperfections, and moments of vulnerability that others may never see.
The painting reminds us that what appears perfect from the outside is never the whole picture, and perhaps true beauty is not found in perfection itself, but in accepting everything that makes us who we are, including the parts we tend to hide.
